Landon graduate from Bethesda indicted in Duke rape case

David Evans, a 23-year-old senior and team co-captain from Bethesda, Md., was indicted on charges of first-degree forcible rape, sexual offense and kidnapping.

He was a renter at the house where the party took place where an exotic dancer says she was beaten, berated and raped.

Evans, from Bethesda, is a graduate of the prestigious all-male Landon School in that Maryland suburb of Washington, D.C.

This new indictment comes in the face of increasing media appeals calling this a political prosecution by the DA Nifong, attacking the credibility of the rape survivor, and other assertions in support of the accused.

Though the Duke lacrosse coach quit and had the lacrosse season canceled because of the behavior (some of it documented through emails) of his players, Sports Illustrated is reporting that some graduating seniors Duke wore the accused lacrosse jersey numbers on their morterboards at graduation ceremonies.

What is your opinion on the identity of the 'victim' being shielded from the public while the accused are paraded as convicted felons?

sorry, i only just realized that i had to moderate comments, there was like 30 there.

I have rejected all comments that claim to state facts about this case without sources.

Also, let me say, the victim doesn't seem to get any thing out of making a complaint. Whenever a woman is raped and calls out her attackers, she is accused of being a slut and a liar. That is no different in this case.

I don't claim to know the facts of the case, but it seems to me some sexual attack happened, and there is plenty of evidence of racial hostility toward the strippers from the party, according to neighbors who called 911, but i digress.

You're not interested in opnions, you only want people to sing to your chior.

This blog is a waste of time. If it's only your opnion you want to near, than say it to yourself.

Thanks for your opinion. I think about i carefully and reconsider my actions. Oh, forgot a source for my last comment's statement of fact
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/05/15/AR2006051500377.html
there it is.

I posts I removed stated such "facts" as the stripper was previously convicted of trying to kill a police officer. Where is that? Please where is a source? Say whatever you like, but don't claim 'facts' that have no basis in fact.

These facts are in the newspapers. You and your blog have shown to be a huge wste of time. You're only interested in people who agree with you.

you're a loser and everyone knows it.

I'm through with you and this joke of a blog.

gimme a source bud, when was the stripper accused of attempted murder of a police officer?

if you give me a source, then we can discuss the validity of the source. But as far as I can tell, you made that up. You don't like my blog, thats fine. I tried not to editorialize too much, just point out some facts/a local connection.
